Every once in awhile someone posts a thread where we list our favorite over-powered cards and mechanics that simply haven't found a way into vintage, or that just aren't being used right now.
So, what do you think is just crying out to be broken? What are your top 3?
For me it is: 1. Hermit Druid (gosh I love this guy, and once a year or so I try to make it work, it never does) 2. Goblin Welder/Mindslaver - Yah I said it. They may have been broken once before, but the blue-welder deck is now a memory. Can it come back? 3. Academy Rector - Where did he go? The interaction with Cabal Therapy is awesome, and there are so many juicy enchantments, like form of the dragon (against shops) and yawgmoth's bargain, to go get.
Anyway, please add to the list!

Especially cause Therapy got a new toy to go with in form of Gitaxian Probe which also servers the Storm mode, Rector-Bargain is going for. Now lets get just Flash unrestricted and we have lots of synergy: 4 Rector, 4 Probe, 4 Therapy, 4 Flash, 4 Preordain, 3 Black Tutors seems like a great starting point

I'm afraid that Ichorid killed Rector. Now, I realize that Ichorid itself has little to prevent Rector from doing her thing. But Ichorid has meant that more and more decks have graveyard hate in their sideboard. And Rector, worded as she is, becomes stopped by graveyard hate. Meaning that the concept faces a lot of splash damage from Ichorid.

Wait wait wait, you think Rector is a lady? I always thought Rector was a dude, but with long dumbledore hair. And I don't think you guys should be allowed to post about my list without adding something you think is Unbroken.

So does Minus Six and I heard it performed pretty good lately But enough on hypothetical theories as long as Flash is even restricted. So to add something to the list: Personal Tutor. It fetches two of the most broken spells ever (Will + Tinker) and we have lots of free Cantrips meanwhile to get things going. Ah, and it is blue.

I want Cold-Eyed Selkie + Sword of Feast and Famine to work so badly. It should, right? You pump the Selkie so you draw more cards, and then you untap lands so you have the mana to play those new cards with.
Glen Elendra Archmage can just savage a deck focused on a handful of cards (like, a focused Tinker deck), but for five mana you have to ask yourself why you're not playing Tezzeret1.0. Also, fails the Jace test.
Counterbalance+Top, similarly to Archmage Vintage decks can be drawing dead to this combo. Lodestone or Jace? Flip my Jace. Dark Confidant? Flip Mana Drain. Gush? Flip Force of Will. Plus, the primary enchantment hate in this format is Nature's Claim, which spinning Top deals with cold. With Island, Island, Mox you can have the combo active on turn two.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.
Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops. I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Oh I love this one. So many 0 and 1 cost spells in Type 1. Maybe it would be possible to build a true control deck with counterbalance as the key card advantage spell.

Played against Turbo Stasis, complete with Trade Caravants, Kismets and Forgotten City at the last NYSE. Won 2-0, because Blightsteel needs to only swing once,

Some powerful cards in my EDH deck that in my fantasy land would be good in Type 1:
Future Sight (Already mentioned above. It's usually the first thing I tutor for in edh)
Forcefield - could be decent against shop decks, stops a tinker bot. Gets through some sphere effects and gives another permanent to tangle wire.
Gilded Drake and Bribery. More tinker bot hate.

This has actually been done before. Austin Pollack knocked me out of NYSE II (I think, may actually be NYSE III) with CB/Top. Then, I Finals split a Blue Bell with Chas Hinkle playing an updated version of the deck.

Meaning that the concept faces a lot of splash damage from Ichorid.
So does Minus Six and I heard it performed pretty good lately In fairness, Minus Six performs well because of splash hate for Ichorid, not in spite of it. Nothing is better to have an opponent mulligan down to 6, or 5, to open with Leyline of the Void, land, Pithing Needle, and smile down at a hand of land, land, Mox, Bob, Drain, Force, Gifts. And I don't think you guys should be allowed to post about my list without adding something you think is Unbroken.
Oh, alright. Bosium Strip. There. There's my secret technology that I tried to break during the second and third Gush eras. Especially in conjunction with Psychatog? Come on, man. 3, T: Yawgmoth's Will? Seems pretty good. Or you could run it in a ritual-based shell; really any instant or sorcery that generates a net positive in terms of mana or card investment becomes insane with Bosium Strip. Too bad there are so many Sphere effects in the metagame today.
