Ok folks here it is at long last!
Once more I'd like to give a great thank you to pandemonium for hosting again, and our amazing judge for handling this event with flying colours.
We had 43 people come out with 6 rounds of Swiss and a cut to Top 8. The meta was incredibly diverse with a lot of people picking up new decks and trying out new archetypes. The format is certainly wide open right now and it seems to get more diverse by the day.
Everyone I encountered all day was very friendly and respectful, and it is this friendly atmosphere that I love running these events. So thank you to everyone who came out to play and I hope that you will all consider coming back for the next one!
As I am getting married in June, this will likely be the last event I run until after the NYSE Open, but keep your eyes peeled for another event coming up in the July/early august time frame.
And as always stay awesome!

I had a great time, and I'll miss your events for the time being, but congratulations . Also thanks for the lists, and I don't know why but I honestly thought Fact or Fiction was restricted still. I was also the Tezsper player and came in 10th, going 4-2 during the course of the day. Here's how my matches went: Round 1: Merfolk (Win) Round 2: UR Delver Still from top 8 (loss, who plays Aetherize!?) Round 3: BUG Fish (loss) Round 4: Dredge (Win) Round 5: No Show, played a game for fun with the guy running Two Card Monte (Win) Round 6: Grixis Tezz (Win)

Don't forget the Seeds of Innocence...also yes TNN is a pain. It seems the only way to beat it is to play your own.

I had a great time, it being my first time every piloting dredge. I went 2-2-drop. I would have done better if I had bothered to play a version that can answer a game one graffdigger's cage. Trinket mage owns us, and it was a pleasure to lose to blue 2/2 beats all day.

Becker's list is insane.
This is the second year in a row that he has surprised me with a list. I'm looking forward to seeing what this list is like in testing.

There is no doubt that Adrian is a high caliber deck builder. The amount of theory crafting he does is amazing. And watching him pilot this list is no less impressive.

Just wait until you guys see my new version of TnT. I tested it for the first time yesterday against combo, and won. It may have a future in Vintage once again.

So this is what happens when we remove Oath of Druids from the equation entirely...

I've been a long advocate of Oath, and played it a lot in this past year, but the meta around Panda has been horrifying to play oath in lately. Trinket mages have been far to prevalent and have meant G1 cages are much more likely.

Top decks at pandemonium include BUG fish and Dredge. So on the one hand, every deck has cages/needles to fight dredge, and just splashes those in against oath. On the other hand, BUG is a nightmare for Oath. So, it's like picking a deck that is a serious underdog to the top deck, while at the same time getting pretty well hated out by basically everyone else's deck.

In addition to mmcheachs point, boston is a notoriously blue meta-game. Which means that not only do I have to worry about decay, cage etc, but most of the time I'm slogging through 100 counterspells. Now I'm not saying Oath is unplayable in this meta...I just found that it was no longer a fun battle, it was more a well....if I get the nuts I might win otherwise I have to hope people play poorly.
