The Grudge Match is upon us once again! It is up to YOU, the players of the New England, to decide who you want representing you against the far less talented teams of Pennsylvania/Southern NJ and New York/Northern NJ! Pick the FIVE most talented Vintage players who live in the New England region. The three players with the highest vote totals will make up TEAM NEW ENGLNAD, and represent the region! If anyone can't attend, the player with the 4th most votes will be put on the team, and so on.

Here are the qualifications:
1) The player/s must live in the New England region.
2) The player/s must be good at Vintage. Yes, I know everyone wants to vote for your BFFs and teammates. Use tournament results since the last Grudge Match as a barometer. Have the player/s you want to vote for Top 8'ed recently, or perhaps even won? If yes, then they would make a good candidate.
3) The player/s must be awesome (this SHOULD be a gimme, since everyone from New England is awesome). Anyone can change their votes by editing their post up until Friday, August 22nd, when this thread will be locked. LET THE VOTING BEGIN!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

Bill Copes - The remaining 4 selections are irrelevant. Victory is assured.

Rich Shay - Control Slaver is back. Do you really want to bet against Rich Shay with Control Slaver?

Ben Kowal - People say they've received letters from him over the years, but never show them. They say he lost his nerve, and he'll never play again. They say he lost his mind and roams the streets of Hadley hiding out under assumed names. Some people say...he's a noobalo. I think he's lying low and getting stronger, waiting for just the right moment to come back and reclaim his crown.

Andy Farias - He won a tournament with Control Slaver BEFORE they printed Dack Fayden.

Jesse Martin - Carrying the torch for Storm Combo through some dark days.

As a New Englander living in PA for five years, I think I need to recuse myself from the grudge match. It wouldn't really be accurate any other way.

Ill second the lessard/farias/martin team, and nominate myself as workshop pilot if the team wants to diversify in that direction for the meta.

Voting for the following:

-Taylor Pratt: New England's rep in 2013 vintage champs t8, also cashed GP Boston-Worster on -1 byes because he's a very good player
-John Lessard: for various reasons including but not limited to grudge match results
-Ben Feingersh: because obvious reasons, but if you need tournament results I've finished t8 or better in all the irrelevant 40-odd player pandemonium events in the last 2-3 years
