Had a great time at this! Hoping to make more in the future even though it's a bit of a ride for me. Nothing like playing sanctioned Vintage though.
Also agreed about the buzz, quite a few drafters wandered in and were watching us. My favorite was one one unexpecting kid who had wandered in let out an audible "Holy Shit!" when I dropped 2 Moxen out of my opening hand. I think he had thought we were drafters too.

Gents, I was the new fellow with the MUD deck and I wanted to weigh in in say that was a ton of fun and thanks for running it. I hope to be there again next month. For anyone considering joinging one of these, it's a very cool, laid back crew with some awesome decks to face. The spectators were fun too - that one game where we were in overtime on game 3 with a big crowd checking it all out was cool indeed.

I will unfortunately be working PAX for Friday and as such won't be able to run the event. And since the shop will also be running a booth at PAX I'm guessing they won't have an extra judge to host. If people are willing, I'd likely move this to Friday the 20th. |
