Oh I agree 110%, i'm glad to just be able to play competitively without having to drive 1hr+ to get to the tournament, its just a train ride away.
6  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: NYC Tournament at JHU postponed until Sunday 8/16/09 on: August 09, 2009, 02:59:55 pm
I figured as much. Hopefully at some point we can get better prize support, but Its better than nothing.

9  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Steel City thread on: August 01, 2009, 06:24:03 pm
wow just 33 people? I'm very surprised, I thought for sure this was one of the most anticipated events of the summer for vintage.
10  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: July 25th - N.Y.S.E. Challenge (Official) on: July 26, 2009, 09:34:57 pm
This was a hell of a tournament and I was excited to see so many people come out for the event. Hopefully we can make Long Island a big name in the Vintage community with more of these events.

I second that
11  Eternal Formats / Ritual-Based Combo / Re: [Article] Lets talk about TPS shall we. on: July 21, 2009, 10:32:35 pm
Hello again. Let me first start off by posting my current decklist:

// Lands
    1  Swamp
    1 Island
    1 Bloodstained Mire
    4 Polluted Delta
    2  Underground Sea
    1 Tolarian Academy
    1 Snow-Covered Swamp
    1  Snow-Covered Island

// Creatures
    1  Darksteel Colossus

// Spells
    1 Merchant Scroll
    1 Mystical Tutor
    1  Rebuild
    1 Vampiric Tutor
    1 Demonic Tutor
    4 Duress
    1 Grim Tutor
    1 Imperial Seal
    1 Gifts Ungiven
    1 Mind's Desire
    1 Ponder
    1 Tendrils of Agony
    1 Time Walk
    1 Timetwister
    1 Tinker
    1 Yawgmoth's Will
    1 Chain of Vapor
    1 Black Lotus
    1 Mox Sapphire
    1 Lotus Petal
    1 Mana Crypt
    1 Mana Vault
    1 Memory Jar
    1 Mox Emerald
    1 Mox Jet
    1 Mox Pearl
    1 Mox Ruby
    4 Force of Will
    1 Sol Ring
    1 Necropotence
    1 Yawgmoth's Bargain
    1 Ancestral Recall
    1 Brainstorm
    2  Cabal Ritual
    4  Dark Ritual
    1  Fact or Fiction
    1 Intuition

Ok, now that that's posted lets move on. After extensive testing I really feel that another land has to be added to bring the count up to 13 which I personally feel is a stable number. Now this breaks down into 3 more things, A)Adding a 6th fetch or B)3rd Sea and also what to remove for it. Possible choices for removal are imperial seal, intuition, and fact or fiction. Any input on this?

22  Eternal Formats / Creative / Meta Question on: June 30, 2009, 08:53:09 am

23  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: The Last Dance: Undefeated First Place, Scholars'/ELD's Mox on: June 29, 2009, 04:00:16 pm
How did the night's whispers work out for you?
24  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Rasputin Oath on: June 29, 2009, 09:26:53 am
Interesting idea, its a cool twist compared to the average oath lists out nowadays.
25  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: TPS/Mystic Remora Question on: June 29, 2009, 09:23:22 am
It looks interesting combining remora with TPS but as stated previously, I think the land count of TPS doesn't add up to keep remora active.

28  Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Re: Optimizing Tezzeret on: June 13, 2009, 10:01:21 am
For those of you who play confidant, have you tested out night's whisper instead, and if so what has proven to be a better deal. I personally haven't gotten around to swap out bob for the whispers yet, but if any has tried already I would like to know how it worked out.
29  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: [TO Report] Jim Hanley's Universe- May 30th on: June 13, 2009, 09:57:55 am
