Snow update: LI is getting 1-3 on Friday, that's it. So stop being pansies.

Meh, a little snow ain't gonna scare me. I earned my snow-driving wings delivering pizzas in a foot of snow down unplowed streets!

... of course I'm not driving to this one, I'm hitching a ride on the Nick Coss bus!

... hopefully he doesn't read this and ask me to drive!

I need a 4th ed. Korean Swords to Plowshares to round out my play set to get signed. Looking for Mint condition... had 2 come in the mail and the 4th was fucked; thanks post man. Somebody halp me! :'(

I have an FBB StP, not sure what language it is or if it's minty fresh. (It's from the prize pool of the Dan Herd tourney if that helps anybody.) I'll make sure to bring it along.

We still down for credit card game at the after party? YEAHHHHHHHH

5  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: GRUDGE MATCH II - N.Y.S.E. Vintage for a Lotus on: November 19, 2010, 12:59:33 am
At the very least, I better see both of you guys at the after party.  In the off chance that either of you want to play, let me know and I'll lend you something sweet.

Playing is pushing it, I'll try to be there but probably not playing.
6  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: GRUDGE MATCH II - N.Y.S.E. Vintage for a Lotus on: November 17, 2010, 12:53:43 am
There's a rumor that I might be at this.

Every Air Bud movie was cinematic genius.

The titles alone are brilliance.

Air Bud: Golden Reciever
Air Bud: World Pup
Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch
Air Bud: Spikes Back

Seventh inning fetch! Come on. I think the movie poster needs to be made into a playmat

Speaking of gay porn titles how about mr tastey cakes!!

You're forgetting about the american classic that is Air Bud: Golden Receiver. That movie is pure genius.

@ Marske, I guess the Bono Guy could have been, but the hotel lobby traffic was a failboat harbor....Also I play for Euros none of that fake money crap haha.....

@ Jake, Like a hot dog down a hallway......you have to test all alternatives just to make sure your not missing something, clearly you have yet to test Serum Powder....

@Jimmy, Obv best story.....
mark one day you will sit down for a match and game 2 will go like this all your hands you powder away will have like 3 pieces of hate and than you have no hate left when you hit bazaar and lose and you realize im sitting right next to you and i will fall off my chair laughing

NOW I GET IT!!! I see why the "great" Jake Gans doesn't use Serum Powder, it is because he powders everything away....You OBV don't powder away all of your answers or bazaars despite you playing with nine Jake. We will have The Talk when your a little older so you understand how the birds and the bees as well as Serum Powder and mulliganing work..... Wink

And thats ladies and gentlemen is the reason why he was the first pick of the waterbury t8 draft

Wait Serum Powder and mulliganing don't work like the birds and the bees?

Then again, everyone in Toronto will be missing the greatest party of all time run by the God of Thunder...

Idk about that.... ive had some sick ones in the past

11  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: TMD OPEN 14-Waterbury, CT Marriott-September 11, 2010 *YUP, you read that right* on: September 04, 2010, 01:27:12 am
People should go to this  Regardless of prize, basically because it's fucking WATERBURY.  This tournament has been the Pinicle of Vintage for as long as I can remember (playin vintage since '04)

I look at it this way:

Waterbury:  The Superbowl of Vintage.
Gencon:  The Pro Bowl.   Some pro's simply don't go.

If TMD had a like button for posts I would have clicked it
12  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: N.Y.S.E. XI Official Report on: August 28, 2010, 02:18:12 pm
The Player of the Year race is a points race that runs from 1/23 through the final N.Y.S.E tournament of 2010.  Only points from major N.Y.S.E. events (not N.Y.S.E. Lites or weekly tournaments at Mark's Comics) count towards the standings.  3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point is awarded for a draw.

This is the additional bonus given to the top 8:

1st - 12 points
2nd - 9 points
3rd/4th - 6 points
5th-8th - 3 points

Thus if a player has 15 points at the end of the Swiss standings, and this player wins the event, the player would get an additional 12 points for a grand total of 27 points on the day.

The winner of the N.Y.S.E. Player of the Year race gets free entry into all major (not N.Y.S.E. Lite or weekly Vintage touranments) N.Y.S.E events for 2011.  I'm working on a trophy as well.

Oh I have the trophy. One could say it was a gift from Ed Goodwin.

Gold spray paint + trophy stand + Ed Goodwin Chronicles = greatest trophy of all time.  We'll be sure to spray it in cologne too.

I'm going to get NYSE events sponsored by Axe bodyspray.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Mark Hornung wins the under on how long it would take you to reply.

The line? Drawn at 2 f-ing minutes...

I can never win!

O.C.D. + German obstinacy + Irish determination = Prospero

I'm leaving for the event now, I hope to see everyone in a few hours...

If by a few you mean 12, I'll be there!
17  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: N.Y.S.E. XI - 8/21 Black Lotus Tournament on: August 20, 2010, 12:10:32 pm
I'd like to add that I firmly believe that the after party for this event will be the best after party we have ever had.  It looks like everybody is going to be there.  I hope that Fridays doesn't mind seating 30.

Accepting all challengers for a dance off for the Club TGI Fridays trophy!

You name the dance buddy.

Didn't they used to do that at the Beanie Exchange?

Mykeatog's Mox, actually.  Speaking of which, what ever happened to that guy?

As far as I know he went to work for Over the Edge Games. Not sure what he's up to now. What about Mixing Mike?

You can always bring back the drinking line...

If Jimmy is up for it I'll do it.

I rocked the keeper to an undefeated swiss and lost to oath like a hero in the top 8.

It was great to see you there though. I wouldn't still be coming to events if it wasn't for people I value in the community. I heard you were coming down and I had to make the journey. Next time its green label for all.
22  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: N.Y.S.E. Lite - 8/15 Mishra's Workshop Tournament on: August 12, 2010, 02:23:48 am
Just a heads up. People need not attend I will be there

So only you show up and you win nothing. Great plan.
the real winners are the children... just not Jake.
the children of the strippers?

Pretty sure they 0-2 dropped life

Glakin play full english breakfast! Or turbo cats!

Turbo cats maybe, its kinda hard to play FEB without damage stacking. Eating a Full English Breakfast is another story. Who's up for coming down early and eating a FEB with me?

He claimed to live in all three locations.

I rocked a lot of people at that party. I've been told I was carrying a guitar hero guitar attempting to play real guitar on it and telling people they were getting rocked. Also, limes are not good substitutes for pong balls. Challengers don't appreciate when you claim victory after bowling over their rack.
27  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: N.Y.S.E. Lite - 8/15 Mishra's Workshop Tournament on: August 11, 2010, 11:55:23 am
Out of sheer fortunate coincidence I will be on the Island, AND I have some vintage stuff with me, AND that day I am left to occupy myself. So I am definitely attending.

Tips for getting out there via LIRR from Remsenburg?

The closest LIRR train is probably Speonk from where I remember Remsenburg is. If you can make it to babylon you can take the train to Merrick or Bellmore and I can help you out from there.

Right, so you just take the Ophidians out of current Fish lists and replace them with Jace?
