Well the tournament was in Providence, RI like the post in the tournament announcement said, well anyways I ended up getting there roughly at 8:30 and went and did all the registration crap that they wanted done. For the most part the tournament was good except for the fact that they took forever doing the pairings early on. Adventually it got better. A bunch of good players showed up for the event. I still hate the fact that bottled water was freaking 3.24 a bottle... Well anyways below is how the tournament went. Oh and I have to thank BrassMan for basicly telling me to play Gifts instead of Dry Slaver.
Round 1: Stefan Ellsworth with Gifts
Game 1: I believe I am on the play. I keep a hand with a fetch and a Mox Ruby for mana sources. I play the Fetch and pass. He draws and plays a Volcanic Island and passes the turn. I draw and still get no land so I play the Mox Ruby and cast Demonic Tutor and get Library of Alexandria and play it. He eventually plays his own Library of Alexandria and we both start drawing cards for a few turns off library. I eventually attempt to go off using Mind's Desire. I manage to create 9 storm and casting the desire for 10 storm. I get nothing off the desire for the most part: 2x Brainstorm, 3x Force of Will, 2x Mana Drain, 1x Gifts Ungiven and 2 lands which I don't remember what they were exactly. I have a Black Lotus in play and other mana sources so I cast Gifts Ungiven getting Yawgmoth's Will, Rebuild and two other cards that really didn't matter. I had Recoup in my hand or else I would of gotten that. I cast Recoup sacrificing Black Lotus for black and tapping a Volcanic Island then Recouping Yawgmoth's Will and creating a bunch more storm and then replaying Black Lotus then sacrificing Black Lotus for Black, casting a Lotus Petal and then Dark Ritual. I had a Demonic Tutor in my graveyard so I cast Demonic Tutor getting Tendrils of Agony and casting it on him.
Game 2: He is on the play. I draw a terrible opening hand and end up mulling to six. Then again I draw a terrible hand and mull to five. I kept the hand. It wasn't good at all but at least it had mana sources in it. He plays a snow covered Island and passes the turn. I draw and play a Island and pass. He plays a Volcanic Island and then ends his turn. I draw into more crap. I play a fetch and fetch out a Underground Sea. He eventually wins that game with a Tinker for Sundering Titan and killing off my mana base so I just scoop.
Game 3: The game went something like the first. I at least didn't have to mull to five again. I for the most part was doing well during that game. I got two early Duresses on him making the game take much longer. I couldn't draw any counter during that game, so eventually he ends up casting Gifts Ungiven at the end of one of my turns and that pretty much was game. He got Black Lotus, Recoup, Yawgmoth's Will, and Time Walk. I give him Time Walk and Black Lotus. That probably was the wrong play, but anyways he goes, draws, and then casts Demonic Tutor gets something and then plays a Tolarian Academy and then followed by Time Walk. He draws and then goes off and I just scoop.

Round 2: Dan Yarrington with The Mountains Win Again
Game 1: Dan is on the play. He plays a Plateau and passes the turn. I draw and start and proceed to my main phase. I play a Volcanic Island, Mana Crypt, Mox Jet, Mana Vault then cast Empty the Warrens for eight little goblins. I pass the turn, which Dan casts Swords to Plowshares on one of the goblins. He draws and plays a fetch and plays a Jotan Grunt. I then take my turn I think drawing into Mystical Tutor and attacking which Dan Blocks one. He puts two cards from his graveyard on the bottom of his deck. I attempt to cast mystical Tutor at the end of his turn which he Pyroblasts. I adventually resolve a Gifts Ungiven getting Recoup, Time Walk, Demonic Tutor, and Yawgmoth's Will and killing Dan off with that lethal gifts pile.
Game 2: He is on the play and I decided to keep a very risky hand of a Ancestral Recall and I believe a Force of Will and the rest of the cards were all land. He casts Duress taking my Ancestral Recall. I start my turn. drawing a Massacre and play a Polluted Delta. I pass the turn. He drops a land and plays Duress again taking the Force of Will. I go and play another land and end the turn. Dan draws and casts Cabal Therapy Cabal Therapying away my Massacre and play a Jotan Grunt. I really didn't do anything during this game. I adventually end up somewhere with very little life and I am forced to tendrils for eight life bringing myself to 9. He ends up killing me a few turns later.
Game 3: I am on the play. Dan mulligans down to five cards. I play a land and pass. During his upkeep I cast Ancestral Recall and draw three cards. He proceeds to draw and plays a land. I draw and then play a land and attempt to cast a Time Walk, which he Red Elemental Blasts. I pass the turn. He does and plays a Dark Confidant. I adventually resolve a Gifts Ungiven getting some mana. Dan Duresses me and takes Yawgmoth's Will. I still end up winning with the help of Recoup getting Yawgmoth's Will and playing a bunch of spells then casting Tendrils of Agony for thirty-six life.

Round 3: Oliver Beaumont with Izzet Control
Game 1: I am on the draw. He starts off with a Volcanic Island and a Mox Ruby and casts Izzet Guildmage. I play a fetch and get an Underground Sea and pass my turn. He drops another land and attacks and passes the turn. I draw and play another land and pass the turn. I eventually Duress him and make him discard probably a Force of will and attempt to cast Ancestral Recall. He responds with an Intuition for three Accumulated Knowledge and then casts Accumulated Knowledge and draws four cards because he hand a Accumulated Knowledge already in his graveyard before he casted Intuition. My Ancestral Recall resolves so I draw three cards. I end my turn. He continues to attack for the next few turns both of us just dropping lands and casting non important spells. He eventually casts something, which I don’t remember what it was, but I Mana Drained it and he ended his turn. I draw into a Repeal and use the drain mana to Repeal his Guildmage back to his hand. I eventually end up successfully casting Gifts Ungiven to get Yawgmoth’s Will, Rebuild, Black Lotus, and Demonic Tutor. I end up getting Demonic Tutor and Black Lotus. I then precede to going off creating a huge storm and casting Demonic Tutor getting Tendrils of Agony winning the game.
Game 2: I really don’t remember much from this game. I remember casting Gifts Ungiven at some point in the game getting Recoup, Timetwister, Black Lotus, and Yawgmoth’s Will. I end up getting Black Lotus and Recoup. I remember in addition attempting to Ancestral Recall myself which he misdirected to himself which was successful. He also had a Izzet Guildmage at the time and casted Accumulated Knowledge and copying it to draw two cards. I eventually Extirpating his Accumulated Knowledge’s from his deck, play Black Lotus and then casting Recoup targeting Timetwister and then drawing a new hand. I attempted to cast Rebuild and he Mana Drains that. Then I cast Empty the Warrens for what was going to be twelve goblins, but he Mana Drained a copy so I ended up with ten instead. I pass the turn. On his turn he casted a Izzet Guildmage and passed his turn taking seven mana burn. I draw and attack which he blocks one. He is now at four life. He draws and then passes the turn and I draw and then finish him off.

Round 4: Dave Feinstein with U/W/B Fish
Game 1: He is on play. He went something like land, Black Lotus, sacrifice lotus for white, Null Rod, Dark Confidant. I scoop due to having no lands. My hand was all artifacts.
Game 2: This game took a while. I am on the play now. I don’t remember all the details of this match except for key plays. He gets an early Dark Confidant in play and attacks with it for a few turns. I eventually start to try to get a big Empty the Warrens off. I think I storm up to something like eleven and cast Empty the warrens. He has a very good draw on his turn and draws Echoing Truth and blasts my guys away and attacks and after he attacked I think he dropped another 2/2 creature. I think Meddling Mage, but I don‘t remember what it was naming if that was the creature. When it was my turn sometime during the game I was at eight life and got the top deck of my life, Demonic Tutor which became Yawgmoth’s Will. He was pretty sure what I got. I passed the turn. He ends up drawing no counter off the confidant or during his draw step. He attacks. Now I am at four. He then plays two more Dark Confidants and ends his turn. I draw and then cast Yawgmoth’s Will. I play a bunch of spells, one of which was Massacre killing all his creatures in play. I create a huge storm and then cast Empty the Warrens and win the game.
Game 3: I draw the “Nuts” as Dave would say. He is on the play. He plays a Tundra and Black Lotus and passes the turn. I was surprised he didn’t play anything that turn. I draw the best thing I could of ever drawn, Empty the Warrens. My opening hand was a Fetch, Lotus Petal, Brainstorm, Mox Ruby, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and something else that I don‘t remember. I start off by Playing the fetch and getting a Volcanic Island and then casting Brainstorm. I drew Pyroblast, Black Lotus, and a land. I put back the land and the other card that I don’t remember what it was. I then play Lotus Petal followed by Black Lotus which he attempts for Force of Will so I sacrifice Lotus Petal and Pyroblast his Force of Will. Black Lotus resolves. Storm of five now. I then sacrifice Black Lotus for red and play Sol Ring then tapping the Sol Ring to play Mana Vault. I then realized I should of just used one of the two red mana floating to play the Mana Vault, but it didn’t really matter. Storm is now seven and I have one colorless mana and two red mana floating. I then tap Mana Vault and use one of the red and then three of the four colorless mana in my mana pool and cast Empty the Warrens for sixteen goblins. He draws and then sacrifices his Black Lotus and plays a Jotan Grunts followed by a Null Rod. I draw and attack. He blocks one and takes fifteen. He draws and then scoops.

Round 5: Gifts (Sorry I don't remember your name)
I got paired down. This typically happens to me because I have terrible tie breakers all the time so I had to play this match and at least have it end in a draw. If I didn't get paired down I could of most likely drawn in. I really don’t recall much of what happened at all during the match. I just remember the results.

Game 2: I keep a very stupid hand. I keep a hand of no mana sources, but a Library of Alexandria. He plays a land and a Savannah Lions. I draw and it wasn’t a land. I play Library of Alexandria and pass the turn. He draws and plays a Wasteland and then wastelands my Library of Alexandria which I tapped in response to draw a card. It wasn’t a land. He attacks and passes the turn. I draw and still no land so I pass the turn. He draws, plays a land and attacks. He then casts another creature and I just scoop.
Game 3: I am on the play. I play a fetch land a get a Island. Play four artifacts and then cast Empty the Warrens for ten goblins. He goes and plays a land and then I believe he passes the turn. I draw and attack. On his turn he draws into nothing and then the game was over.
Top 4: Each of the top 4 got: $55.00, 3 Ravnica Tournament Packs and I believe 4 booster packs from random sets which we drafted to see who got what packs. Dan Cunningham got the plaque which we rolled to see who got it. Dan rolled at 19, Brassman rolled 2, I rolled 17 and the other guy rolled 18
