More likely than not, it was the MWS bug where the opponent somehow loads your deck instead of their own.

When you double click the Draw Step icon it draws a card and proceeds to Main Phase immediately, so that may have been what happened.

Had my first knowing run-in with "Ultimate Sephiroth" in the Nauseam mirror.  His join message claims that if he leaves after the first game, I know I lost game 2 and 3.

Game 1 his first turn duress slows me down and after I vamp on my second turn he knows he's done if I go again so Twisters, unable to go off without mana but duressing out my only gas.  My had has artifact mana and 3 Pacts with academy on the board.  I get another turn and suddenly my manabase is huge worth 12.  He wants to try to win so eot Hurkyls me, which I Pact.  He then tries for Yawgwill, which I also try to counter, but he has a Pact of his own.  He then thinks and inexplicably hurkyls himself, tries Twister again, and can only manage Necro.  My new 7 is fine and I go off with counter backup.  I'm insulted for being lucky, I point out he could have won by bouncing my artifacts and causing me to lose to my pact triggers.  He arrogantly claims he expected me to be stupid and was "noob test"ing me.  Uh huh.

Game two I keep a mediocre hand, he has a first turn necro.  I respond with petal, rital, DT for duress... hardly ideal.  He cries again about my being lucky and reveals tendrils, rituals... and xantid swarm?!  Better bring in that countermagic protection after almost winning due to my pacts last game.  I drop land/mox and pass, he realizes he has 5 life and no draw step and quits.

I'm with you guys, avoid this idiot.

I think we've managed to successfully document Sephiroth's douchebaggery and prove to anybody reading the thread that he's to be avoided, at this point I'm inclined to agree with Bluemage and stop feeding the trolls. Some guy "banned" me from playing with him because I didn't use phases on turn one....

The dude just banned me.  I had out LoA, drew for my turn, then tapped to draw.  Then he said 'game loss, LoA goes on the stack..."  He didn't have any U sources and I sorta figured that since he didn't have any upkeep effects he wasn't responding to my draws. 

So then he was like 'game loss, g2 sb?' and when I declined he 'banned' me!   I guess we're just not good enough for this guy...

I played the 'Vintage' guy as well and it was really funny. I used the arrow for someting and he said don't use the arrow, there is only one target. Later on in the game we both had a non basic land in play and I had Wasteland out. I used it on his non-basic land and he told me not to use the arrow, I responded with; There is more than one target so I just follow your rules. After that he told me I was annoying and he quit the game.

I played Sephiroth as well and he's actually quite a decent player and most decent players are mostly either polite or sarcastic but not down right offensive, so I'm kind of puzzled. Guessing he was abused as a child or something..

I too have played that Vintage guy and he is bizarre.  Whenever he's losing, he invents some bizarre "rules" violation and accuses you of it.  He freaked out at me for using a Scroll Rack.  I paid the mana, put the cards from hand down on the table, and drew the same amount.  "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! WHY ARE YOU DRAWING CARDS?  Scroll Rack is on the stack!" 

He seems to be cool when things are going well for him & he thinks he's winning, but the moment it becomes obvious he's lost, he gets embarrassed and then starts yelling about imaginary rules violations.  I told him to Chill out and he "banned" me.  But we played again the next day, and he quit when I tapped an AEther Vial and banned me again.  Sad, sad spectacle.
