If your opponent has a mana base that is stifle friendly, it's courteous to click ok? after every few initial activations (fetchlands, etc), just to be sure.

Individual matches and personalities are a two way street.  Even if Soly might be a little rude in one's opinion, that doesn't make him not an experienced player with advanced knowledge of rules and game play.  How you handle it is your own business.  Me? It takes a lot for me to lose it on line.  Usually the most vicious I get is "Cya - Disconnect"

Also: Edit your game logs people! We don't need to read every line in the log.

I played Sephiroth three times over the past couple of days. Yes, he did have some remarks about plays I made but nothing insulting whatsoever. I even got him to agree with me regarding some points. We both played Long again and unlike last time where he pretty much obliterated me 4-0 we had good matches. He beat me 2-1 in matches, the last one ended in 3-2 and the deciding game was of high quality on his part. He pulled of an impressive string of spells using every last drop of mana, at 1 life with Bargain in play and Tendrils for exactly 20 life. Then he gave me some good pointers on how to play against Shop and Remora with Grim Long and I left after that.

He even complimented me on some of my plays. All in all one of the more meaningful matches I've played last week. I'm not really sure if this guy belongs on the list because it seems his level of play is much higher than average and if you're looking for a good game of mws magic, I'd recommend this guy over those pesky players who don't have ANY patience. Also, this guy is NOT a quitter (he quit once when I beat him in a deciding game, he said nothing and left but that doesn't qualify) and he won't call you a cheater. He might call you a noob for nothing, but if you can handle that you'll most likely have an interesting game =)

I did meet up with some nasty players but I don't remember their names. I'll be playing again today and I'll remember the names from now on.
I think it's important that people try to ignore the horrible players on this list. When they can't get a game online, they'll probably stop playing sooner or later.

iv played several games against soly and didnt have a single problem with him at all.  hell the last time i played him i was playing a rather subpar deck (an esper style artifact deck) and it was actually really useful because while yes he did critique of some of the cards i ran he was only doing so to be helpful.  i think the problem is most people hate being critiqued and take some things he says a bit more personally then they should rather then trying to explain it.

as for the guy who played sephiroth, you made me lol.  i was playing a BBS deck against him with rune snags+mana leaks, and after he duresses me he tells me to take @TMD out of my name because "im insulting the TMD player base" and several other insults before leaving.  as far as sephiroth is concerened, if your NOT playing storm THE WAY HE WOULD PLAY IT, you are a "complete noob" and he will rapidly insult you and leave early.

I played Sepiroth the other day.

We was doing well with Grim Long, and he ended up taking game 1.  He wasn't too bad, just a little comment here and there.  I guess I was playing well because he asked me what team i was on.  When i replied that I was rather new, ALL HELL BROKE LOSE.  Every play i made was followed by "noob"

But I'm a pretty laid back guy and just kept on playing, as he ended up winning the match.

After that, though, he lightened up and game me a few tips, as well as convinvced me to play Grim Long.  We then started talking about vintage, and who the best players were etc.

If you just grin and bear his annoying insults, it turns out Sepiroth is a VERY good player, as well as a decent guy.

Sephiroth is only nice to you when he is winning or thinks he is going to win.

When you are going to beat him that's when the shenanigans start in.

He'll pull truly infantile stuff like ignoring your turn 1 misdirect to his ancestral recall since it stops his otherwise turn 1 win.

So yeah, if you are going to lose to Sephiroth whenever you play him, he will be nice to you.

However, I have a nasty tendency of beating him whenever I face him.

I'd rather not play someone who carries on with the emotional integrity of a 5 year old whenever he loses.

That would be Sephiroth. I just played him, he was fine until game 3, where I countered Yawgmoth's Will as he was trying to go off. He kept saying, "You don't have Force of Will," and started playing cards from his graveyard anyway.

He was about to lose a match 2-1 against Hermit.dec, so I think he was a little pissed off

This is the worst day ever for me.  I am playing Tezz and he has out a null rod.  He has no threats except he then hardcasts a berserk murdolent.  He proceeds to beat me to death with it.
