4.) Let's hear some last week trash talking!
I plan on casting Spelljack on Travis LaPlante's Mind's Desire, Stifling his storm trigger,
and then casting Quicken to play the removed Mind's Desire during his end of turn,
revealing Darksteel Colossus, Monkey Cage, and Vedalken Orrery.
I will then win on my turn and take his mother out to dinner.

Getting close and gettin pumped.

This thing is going to be awesome.

Don't forget you only have a few days left to preregister.

Also, if you haven't booked your hotel room at the Ramada you should do so now.  $69 is a great price for just down the road.

Finally, the trophy for the team competition is as large and blingy as ever.  Seriously, it's almost 4 feet tall.  If I have a chance I'll upload the pic I took on my camera phone.

Short of your own funeral, you all should try to make this.

If I did die, my corpse would clearly be playing ichorid since it requires no actual coherent pilot to play.  How's that for last week trash talk!?

I'd play at my own funeral for this... hell if I die through some means of alcohol poisoning the night/morning after day 1 I'd put my body into the prize pool.

I mean come on who doesn't want a dead body?

The correct answer is nothing. Because the march 20th announcement is just that...
An announcement.
If they announce a change it does not go into effect untill april 1st. Luckily the tournament is on the 21st and 22nd of march.

Didn't they change that so that it happens the day it's announced?

Oh MAN would that be friggin awesome if they completely changed the format the day before...

I saw the future, and it looks like this

Top 8:

1 Mono red workshop
1 King James Oath
1 Tezz
1 TPS
1 BUG fish
1 UBA-Stax
1 Ichorid
1 Remora-Tog

My bet is TPS takes down the tourney.

How can TPS win the tournament.  Only green creatures win TMD's.  They also have to be mainboard!  No sideboard goyfs or sillyness.

I am going to try to get streaming video coverage and updates each round like I tried for TML Open 4.

The problem with that time was my laptop sucking and the stream constantly freezing, but I think I may have fixed that problem.

No promises, but check in to this thread around 11 am for possible info to watch feature matches as they happen each round.

Mo Ya just laughed at the goofy smile that ran across my face when I read that you'll be having video coverage. I'm looking forward to following the action tomorrow. Best of luck to all who attend, and as always huge props to Ray.
