+1. For whatever reason, I really like having everything be unpimped. I do, however, NEED full art lands to feel comfortable.

I'm just starting to watch them in chronological order. So far, the commentary is pretty disappointing. Vintage coverage is great, but it's not great to hear how much of a first-turn-kill format Vintage is or how awesome turn-one Slash Panther, turn-two Slash Panther is.

I said something on Twitter that I was serious about - I would be willing to devote the entire day of Vintage Champs to doing GGS Live Coverage, if that's something people would be interested in and the GGS Live folks could come to an agreement with me about it. I'm not 100% on going to GenCon next year but I am hopeful that I can make it, and am serious about this.
No offense to the folks who did it this year, but they really have no idea about Vintage and it does a disservice to the format and the players.

The Wizards coverage of the Vintage Champs has always been sporadic and inadequate, but at least they try. They actually ask someone to cover the event. One year Ted Knutson lost the decklists.
I actually think the GGslive coverage team does a good job. And I think that their relative lack of familiarity with the topic actually mirrors the audience. I especially thought their finals coverage was strong, with Sadin, etc.
I'm glad that they have videos that we can watch.
Everyone should watch these videos who can. It's high level Vintage under the microscope under tournament conditions.

Definitely not me. My Time Walk is Beta. Yeah, I sold my Alpha dual lands because I thought it was ridiculous to own them, in case something got stolen.

Was this the first ELD tournament after Gush was unrestricted again? I might have been that opponent.

I do blue stuff and kill him" Which I think underscores a broader problem. How many Vintage players write tournament reports? Or, good ones? How many people from the Vintage Champs top 8 or the last Waterbury or the Summer Grudge match wrote tournament reports? Before we start criticizing wizards for their lack of accuracy or interest, let's look at the community, and ask that our top performers do a better job representing the format themselves.

I've offered 10% off entry to my next event if someone Top 8's and writes a Tournament Report. There are five reports from my events on the first page of this forum, with Champs seeming like the only other event that has player-perspective reports. I think player reports are great.

Steve, what do you think about what the announcer says about your play style during your match with Paul around 37-38 min into the game?
