Before you click on link, I must say, that this is my version of the Hitler's Downfall Meme.

Basically, a film was made, in German (probably in Germany) about Hitler's last days in his bunker. It is rare that German films have Hitler in them without stock footage (this I was told from internet, after doing some research)

Germany has since (since WWII) made a bunch of laws making it NOT OK to do Hitler stuff (not ok to do Pro Hitler stuff) on TV/Film. No free speech there.

But when I made this hilarious video, that only Vintage Magic Players could appreciate (niche market, uberniche), TMD laughed, as did 500 others who saw it within a few months.

YouTube took down my original video, but that was when the Downfall folks had issues with parodies being made, even if said parodies are more promotion than they could possibly hope for (especially with a $0 price tag attached!). So this I posted on MetaCafe.

My question, what possible reason could Europeans have for not wanting a vid like this on their site? (I am assuming MTG Vintage Sites, or Humor Sites that allow for the very narrow humor range of this vid).

Obviously, I want people (MTG VINTAGE people) to watch this vid, enjoy it, share with their friends, comment back on how awesome it was, etc.  It's something I created (technically, parodied, copied formula, etc, but it was ALL MY effort and such that made this video happen.).  I never get tired of watching it myself, and I know many TMD'rs have seen it already (at least those who follow the NorCal Vintage MetaScene).

My question/purpose (other than promoting my vid for vanity reasons) is this:

Why would a European MTG Site not post this vid, other than say, There are some curse words in it that start with S or F, etc?

I know that at least one European site passed up on linking this thread because of "Hitler is bad, Hitler links are bad", and I understand that. But I also don't understand that.  Context counts. and this vid is pure comedy (Vintage Meta Comedy) that only MTG players would understand (only MTG players that have some understanding of Vintage MTG).

For Europeans, who's philosophies are miles ahead of the US in many ways (Death Penalty, Pre-emptive Wars, etc), they are afraid of innocent fun.  It's not like this vid is "innocence of Muslims" thing that happened a few weeks ago, or pretending to be true in any way.  It's just pure fun, honest (adult language/content) fun.

Why shield this from European MTG player's eyes?

If mods dissaprove of this thread instantly, I'm fine with that (politics is not ok on TMD, but I am trying to not make it actual politics. Just Cultural/Humor/Philosophe based thread).

Thought's TMD? I am curious what people think (and appreciate any feedback from my own vid if you are inclined to watch. It's my first "bit" on the internet created by me. )

The reason is that people are overly sensitive on many, many levels.  God forbid if someone is offended and get's their feelings hurt by looking at something they do not have to look at, listen to, or read.  Most people are a bunch of pansies imho.

Yes, but now that we have our own Vintage Scene again (fairly non-existent since that time), I was reminded of my vid. And obviously want people to enjoy it.

But my original post was like a full page of context and asking certain questions about why having it played for European crowd is frowned upon, even if it's purely for the lulz, and only one person addressed that so far!

Everyone else seems to have seen it for the first time, and recovering from said lulz!

I am from Switzerland, the country next to Germany (the ones who were neutral in WWII, i.e. making profits with everyone).

Let me quote some stuff:

In Europe, we have fewer problems with words like Stalin, Furz, Scheisse and Fungus than in America, I believe. The Germans do, however have problems with Hitler. And it's true that there are anti racism laws (in Switzerland, too) as well as laws who prohibit the use of Swastikas and the like. this is because those in the legislative think it's safer to prevent promotion of Fascist symbols (and maybe because they don't like to be reminded of it).
On the other hand, this Film was a major hit in the German / European cinemas (Hitler being played by a Swiss actor btw.). It shows the descent into madness of poor Adolf. So I don't know why a mtg site wouldn't post this (maybe German sites wouldn't post it because it's really hard to follow the blurry mtg related subtitles and listening to rambling hitler in a language they understand at the same time. meta humor on every fungus NEXT level.

I don't think it should generally be too much of a problem. Maybe if it had more BoM / Ovinogeddon / LCV jokes in it?

I not saying which site, but they did tell me they loved the video, just weren't inclined to put it up because of stuff I mentioned in this thread.
It didn't occur to me that the scene/parodymeme might not be as funny in say Germany, because the scene is in German (hence the english subtitles are a complete miss). But spanish, italian, Dutch, Swedish etc players might have liked it.

Heiner I know is from Germany (He kicked the shit out me 4 games in a row at our local Vintage tourney!).  What is your take? Would German magic players be offended by my Hitler video? is it unwatchable if you are native speaking German?

I now know that the parody isn't as fun for Germans (because they hear the dialogue as spoken, not interpreted entirely through the acting, emotions and subtitles)
But mostly for the rest of Europe/Vintage-Non-US-Meta.

Also, is there any other quality meme like this? (original dialoge in emotional scene, with new subtitles for the lulz?)

As for the specific references to the NorCal Vintage Meta, I assume that people on TMD kinda look at most tourney reports, and some portion follow current Pro-tour Magic and know of David Ochoa and LSV are, etc (and LotusHead, BC, Gambit, Credmond, and others in the scene who post here when possible. I didn't include the non-TMD posting memebers, as this vid was mainly for the TMD crowd, and Myself and locals).

Fun Fact:    A few days/weeks/months after I posted this Vid in the appropriate Eudemonia thread, someone from, lets say, Michigan or Wisconsin (I don't know the difference, I'm just NorCal) pm'd me to give up Hitler's decklist, as they wanted to pilot it at their interesting Vintage Tourney.

Most important: There are no anti-hitler laws or such things in Germany.

however, there are anti-discrimination laws to protect ethnic minorities, freedom of religion (even covering Scientology, so imo very liberal), women (from gaps in wages etc. because of gender), sexual orientation etc. Which all make sense. Moreover we have laws that protect the democracy from depotism or the like. So making parody, movies, cartoons etc. is not a problem, covering a school building with nazi symbols/Posters or starting a racial hatred campaign however is because this has nothing to do with Freedom of speach anymore (at least the Way germans See it). Hope this explanation helped.

There are a quite some movies about hitler and the Regime successful in TV and cinemas and we are (finally) able to make parody about that. The hitler meme videos out of the Movie "Der Untergang" are well-known but really loose their joke if you actually understand everything and don't reduce it to the aggressive sound only.

While being at it: It really annoys me every Time i watch a US Late Night Show with all the guests claiming to speak a few words German and just try to spell Out Single words in aggressive-hilter-style (sarah chalke for example). There's no wonder a lot of the US People are confused if I speak german and i don't yell aggressive curse words all the Time lol.

We don't have Problems with curse words at all, like brits

Thanks for all responses, and compliments, but I think I figured out the answer to my original query: (it just isn't that funny if you speak German), even though I thought other European Vintage players (at least TMD European Vintage players) would love this vid.

It really is my first actual "bit", 4 minutes of content, that I've done.

But interesting sidenote: David Ochoa's Trygon Predator list (with Jace 2.0) was built to defeat ME from the last actual Eudemonia tourney (where I defeated Web in swiss and in top 8).  Owen Turtenwald used his list (with like 3 or 4 card changes if I recall correctly) and won Vintage World Champs.

That list was built to deal with the meta, but especially built to crush, DREAMCRUSH me. (I think there was a Superstars (the Channel Fireball store in San Jose) tourney that he totally demolished whatever shop/welder deck I had at the time.

But to give David Ochoa credit:  facing him on the battlefield, and observing his games (usually from his opponent's side) has taught me more about competitive Magic than just about any resource other than my 8+ years at TMD.   

Also, another historical fact, that I have kept private/local until now: That last Eudo tourney I won (for a Time Walk!), I am pretty certain that my teammate stole my Black Lotus from my deck (and some other cards in the weeks prior) AFTER I won the Time Walk, but BEFORE I got home. It was Tobi's Morphling Top 8 stuff that made me look at my deck to find out what was up. Turns out, I got home with 59 cards maindeck, 15 SB.  My teammate (very young. like 16ish, been on team for 4plus years) got into drugs (the bad ones), and went there, did that.

As a teacher, I can only get so close to minors, but I especially can't beat the shit out of him, cuz I want to continue to be a teacher. 

Haven't heard from him in a few years, he's probably in jail for being a junkie (a brown one at that), and I keep telling myself that whatever desperate need he had for the cash, he snagged my Black Lotus (that I traded for in mid-90s) because he knew I could replace it with a plains and a sharpie. :/ )

But back on track, I appreciate that you all enjoyed my Hitler Vid.  My only other prior "bit" in public was when I was involved in a Reno Wedding of people I didn't know (I only knew the best man: I drove, he didn't have a license and was to drive the groom's car back, or something...)

Anyway, my friend was the best man, and had to do the best man toast to the groom. He wanted to "wing it". I told him, at least have SOMETHING ready, in case you choke or whatnot. He said he could handle it, but I offered up at least "a bit", a joke, if all else fails.

The joke was this: "blah blah blah, and my buddy whatshisface finally stole whatsherface from the only woman she really loved...... Her mother..."

That got an applause from a crowd of say, 100 people.  It was a joke, I wrote it, and it worked. (and yes, he choked, then fell back on this bit).

Anyways, for people concerned over my black lotus, I still have 3 moxen, 2 shops, 1 bazaar, 1 mana crypt, 1 drain, 4 FoW 1 TimeTwister, 4 Bobs, 4 Snapcaster Mages, and 6 blue fetchlands to survive on. and we have a local Vintage Scene again, (and my smartphone thing. see other thread WHOOT).
